Terms of service
The rules for using MentionRex: what it is, how subscriptions, payments and refunds work, acceptable use, and the legal terms.

Draft: this text is waiting for a lawyer's review and may change before MentionRex launches.
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [[GAP: company legal name]], [[GAP: registered address]], tax ID [[GAP: tax ID]], [[GAP: commercial registry details]] ("MentionRex", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using MentionRex, you accept them and our Privacy Policy. If you don't accept them, don't use MentionRex.
You must be at least 18. If you use MentionRex for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf, and they bind that company.
What MentionRex is
MentionRex measures how AI assistants answer the questions your buyers ask: whether they mention or recommend your brand, which sources they cite and why they pick a competitor. It then suggests what to do about it, and checks what changed.
It asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude through their official APIs, and reads Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode through DataForSEO. Answers through an API can differ from what a person sees in each app, and they change over time and from one ask to the next, so MentionRex asks each question 3 times per assistant by default and every number is an estimate shown with its sample size and margin of error.
We can't promise that any AI assistant will mention or recommend your brand: we measure, explain and suggest, and the assistants decide.
We may add, change or remove features at any time.
Accounts
An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in secure: you're responsible for what happens in your account. Don't share it or resell access to MentionRex.
Subscriptions and payments
MentionRex is only available with an active paid subscription. There is no trial period.
You choose a plan, billed monthly or yearly, in the app, where its price is shown before you pay. A subscription renews automatically, at the same price and for the same period, until you cancel it, unless we told you about a price change as described below. There's no minimum term and no other charge: you pay the plan's price plus the sales tax that applies.
Your subscription is sold through Link: Link (Sold through Link, LLC) sells and bills it as the merchant of record for MentionRex. Link processes your payment, charges the sales tax that applies, issues your invoices and receipts, and handles payment questions. Link's terms also apply to your purchase. Charges appear on your card statement as LINK.COM*.
You can cancel at any time from Billing in your account (Stripe's customer portal). Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, and then it isn't renewed.
If a renewal payment fails, your access stops until it's paid: you can change your card and retry the payment from Billing. Stripe retries the payment for about two weeks; if every try fails, the subscription is cancelled. Your account stays open.
If we change a plan's price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription, so you can cancel first.
Refunds
You can cancel at any time from Billing in your account; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
If you're not happy with MentionRex, email support@mentionrex.com within 60 days of a payment, from your account's email address, and we'll refund that payment in full.
A full refund ends your subscription at once: your access stops that day, without waiting for the end of the period. A partial refund, if we agree one with you, doesn't end it.
Disputing a charge with your bank also ends your subscription at once.
Link, as the seller, may also refund a payment within 60 days of it, under its own terms; such a refund ends your subscription in the same way.
Deleting your account cancels your plan at once and does not, by itself, refund the rest of the period. A refund you are entitled to under this section still applies after you delete your account: ask from the email you used, within 60 days of the payment.
A refund appears on your statement as LINK.COM*, like the payment. Where the law gives you a right to withdraw from a purchase, Link, as the seller, applies it, and nothing in this policy limits the rights you have under the law where you live.
Your content
You keep the rights to what you add: your brands, websites, competitors and questions. You let us use it only to run MentionRex for you, which includes sending your questions to the AI providers and DataForSEO.
Reports, plans and drafts MentionRex makes for you are yours to use. They come from AI answers and AI models, so they can be wrong: check them before you act on them. MentionRex never publishes anything for you.
Acceptable use
Don't use MentionRex to break the law or anyone's rights, to mislead people, or to harm another business with false claims.
Don't try to get around your plan's limits or the paywall, scrape or overload MentionRex, or reverse-engineer it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and report illegal activity to the authorities.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using MentionRex and delete your account at any time from Account in the app.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your use puts MentionRex, other users or our providers at risk, or if the law requires it. If we close it for breaking these terms, nothing is refunded, except where the law says otherwise or where the Refunds section or Link's own refund policy applies.
We may also close any account for another reason with 30 days' notice. In that case, we refund the unused part of your current period.
Third-party services
MentionRex depends on services we don't control: the AI assistants, DataForSEO, Stripe and Link among them. Their answers, prices and features can change, and we're not responsible for them.
Availability
We work to keep MentionRex available and accurate, but we make no uptime commitment and offer no service level agreement.
No warranties
MentionRex is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, including that it will run without interruptions or errors, that its numbers will match what people see in each AI assistant, or that it will meet your needs.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't let us limit, or your rights as a consumer.
Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you'll compensate us for claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that come from your use of MentionRex or your breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date at least 15 days before significant changes take effect, unless the law or a security issue requires a faster change. If you keep using MentionRex after that, you accept the new terms.
General
Before starting any legal claim, email support@mentionrex.com and give us 30 days to try to solve it with you.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute goes to the courts of Spain, unless the consumer protection law of the country where you live says otherwise.
We may transfer these terms and your account to a company that takes over MentionRex. You may not transfer them without our consent. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force.
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about MentionRex.
